The food here was great! The steak sandwich was juicy and delicious. The service is a great and the chefs seem to know what they're doing. The ambiance is relaxed but this place gets a bit crowded

So went back a few weeks ago and didn't see the rude waiter. Food was sublime but now the place is called Panisse (by cafe Pastis). It's like stepping through a portal to find yourself in a bistro in France.

Delicious French entrees , but beware the prices on this menu are not what you will be charged. The website menu states the crevettes grille (grilled shrimp salad on ratatouille with cous cous) is $14.50 when the actual price is $28.50. This place is not inexpensive ! Reservations are strongly recommended as it is small and popular.

We love this little gem in south Miami. Food is always good and fresh. The mussels and fries are amazing. Staff are always friendly and spot on. We like the outdoor option, as the indoor can get a bit noisy. You must have reservations if you go for the weekend dinner.

Cafe Pastis is a small quaint restaurant located in the sunset area. It is tucked away in a small unassuming old strip mall. We went here for a girl's night out \ birthday celebration. We ordered the French onion soup, veggie soup, muscles and grilled grouper dinner. The vegetable soup was AMAZING. It didn't have any dairy and was very flavorful. The grilled grouper was fresh - it came with vegetables and roasted potatoes. The wait staff was very nice and very attentive. We ordered two bottles of wine and they allowed us to taste the wine before purchasing the bottle. It was very reasonably priced. We're glad we came - everyone had a great time and it's so refreshing to discover new spots like this to enjoy with friends. Good food, good drinks, great company.

I had lunch here with my father yesterday, and we had a marvelous experience. The staff at this establishment are experts in keeping up with a busy service time, and then providing delicious food and beverages in a relaxed, friendly environment. We arrived, fairly close to lunch hour, closing time, but they still seated us with a smile, and made sure that we had a good experience. We split the "moules et frittes" and shared some some great conversation over the meal and a couple of Kronenbourg beers. The ambience is excellent, a small French bistro vibe throughout. It is very casual and comfortable. The menu is enormous, reflecting upon the staff, considerable experience with preparing these types of French comfort food dishes in a small, but efficient kitchen. If you're feeling the need for delicious French, comfort, food, and you're in the Coral Gables area, you simply must visit Café Pastis!! we shall most certainly be back for more soon! Merci, et à bientôt!"

Stopped by Cafe Pastis with my mom before catching a matinee showing at Sunset. I had been meaning to give it a try and am so happy we had time to enjoy sit down lunch service. The service was fantastic, ensuring our waters were always full, bringing over a chair for our purses, and even splitting our sandwich and salad onto separate plates for us without us having to ask. The interior is very euro and quaint. The outdoor seating is pleasant. The soup, sandwich, and salad were all delicious. The spicy harissa was fantastic. Great lunch, would definitely return!

Tucked away in an unassuming strip off Sunset - this gem transplants you to the south of France. Quite popular spot amongst locals so reservations are not required but recommended as the space is on the smaller side. All the food here is phenomenal. The steak frites is tender and fries are crisped to perfection. The signature bouillabaisse is well balanced and comes with plenty of seafood chunks. The duck confit is tender and has a lovely touch of sweetness. If you opt to come through for lunch - their sandwiches are delightful and quite affordable too. Croque monsieur and steak sandwich are good recommended. There are also rotating daily specials. Be sure to ask if anything is sold out before you get your heart and stomach set on a dish - they do run out! Save room for dessert because it's worth it - whether you opt for the fruit tart or the crème brûlée, the desserts are the perfect finale to a fantastic meal. Service is also crazy attentive and extremely kind. Cafe Pastis does it all and does it all very very well.
